The city will be conducting tests on our hydrants over the next several days. You may experience brief fluctuations in pressure. When water pressure fluctuates mineral deposits in the system known as tubercles can be dislodged and move through the system. Sometimes these tubercles can cause discoloration of the water: usually orange or rust color. To rid your system of this discoloration, we recommend that you run an outside spigot for a few minutes and to clean the aerators on any inside faucets as well. Be assured that the water is safe to drink. Thank you.
