CITY OF SAN ANTONIO DECLARES LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY (UPDATED)

The City of San Antonio passed Resolution 10-2024 on October 7th declaring a Local State of Emergency for 7 days* ahead of Hurricane Milton landfall.


*Mayor Vogel extended the Local State of Emergency for seven (7) days on October 14.

*Mayor Vogel extended the Local State of Emergency for seven (7) days on October 21.

*Mayor Vogel extended the Local State of Emergency for seven (7) days on October 28.





City officials and staff strongly urge residents to take this incoming storm seriously and to make preparations to protect their property BEFORE the wind becomes hazardous!

Pasco County has issued mandatory evacuation orders if:

  • You live in a manufactured home, mobile home or RV anywhere in Pasco

  • You live in a low-lying area or an area prone to flooding

  • You live in a structure that historically has experienced flooding during heavy rainfall

  • You’re in an area ordered evacuated by local authorities due to life-safety hazards
