Mayor Anderson Helps St. Anthony School Celebrate Catholic Schools Week

On January 27, 2019, St. Anthony School celebrated Catholic Schools Week. Mayor Mark Anderson read the following Proclamation:

PROCLAMATION ON CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK 2019

WHEREAS, the Diocese of Saint Petersburg is celebrating Catholic Schools

Week January 27 through February 1, 2019; and

WHEREAS, the theme for Catholic Schools Week 2019 is “Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service;” and

WHEREAS, Saint Anthony School was founded in 1884 to provide education in the Catholic tradition to the children of the Catholic Colony of San Antonio; and

WHEREAS, Catholic schools provide students with an excellent education that emphasizes the formation of high moral values and commitment to community service to prepare them to serve as responsible members of society; and

WHEREAS, the Principal and staff of Saint Anthony School strive to provide a comprehensive and challenging academic program, to foster the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth of its students, while respecting and supporting individual abilities;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Commission of the City of San Antonio, Florida, wishes to commend Saint Anthony Catholic School for its contribution to the education and formation of countless youth from our community, and hereby proclaims January 27 through February 1, 2019, as Catholic Schools Week in the City of San Antonio.
